Come Celebrate with Us During Cru Night Featuring

Castello di Neive Barbaresco ‘Santo Stefano’!

Cru Night invites Restaurants across the country to simultaneously feature ONE iconic single-vineyard wine. On March 20th we celebrate Castello di Neive and their monopole vineyard Santo Stefano. This is an historical site situated in the Albesani subzone of the Barbaresco appellation.

This prestigious wine is aged gracefully in 3-liter bottles referred to in Italy as “Formati Importanti.” Cru Night offers the rare opportunity to taste an exquisitely developed wine poured by the glass for ONE iconic night.

In Celebration to the life of Italo Stupino

Where is Barbaresco? Wine region within Piedmont, Italy. A famous region known for age worthy red wines made from Nebbiolo.

What is a Cru? A vineyard of recognized quality usually vinified on its own.

What is Monopole? The single vineyard of Santo Stefano is owned entirely by Castello di Neive.

Why Formati Importanti? In Italy, large formats are aptly called Formati Importanti since ‘Important’ wines are typically bottled in larger formats to allow for slow, graceful aging. Formati Importanti take more time to develop and can be enjoyed longer than a standard wine bottle.
